Went for baby's 16th week scan yesterday. Was hoping to know baby's gender so that I can start buying some clothes for baby. Been feasting my eyes on baby's clothing so much nowadays that I couldn't resist it anymore. Mi n hubby been talking to baby to let us know gender so that daddy will buy toys and mummy will buy nice clothes for baby. So needless to say we were both very excited yesterday. Though deep in my heart I know that baby will not let us know yesterday and will instead show us some patterns. I also dunno why I got such a feeling but been telling hubby as since the last scan I know that baby likely to chut pattern and show us the new tricks that baby has learnt. Probably thats what they called "A Mother's Instinct". *grins*

So happily we went into our gynae's office and started with the scan. Once the scan got onto my tummy baby was already doing a handstand ready for us, SEE! Thats our baby. hahaha.....This time baby was turning here and there and at one point was even yawning!!! Gynae was saying "Look! baby's yawning!!!" I was like "HUH?" I didnt know baby will yawn in the womb. So was trying hard to figure out the screen and gynae showed us baby's mouth and it did open and closed after a while. Aw..............the kind of feeling is so indescribeable.

Then on, gynae started showing us the heartbeat, the heart, the hands, the legs, spines and finally going down to baby's bottom. I was holding my breath............when the gynae almost got into the right position baby's uses leg to block the view. gr.................so gynae started to change position...........and when we were almost there baby's move leg again to block. gr..................this went on for a couple of times and gynae told us that we got to wait till the detail scan to find out the gender. *sighs* Notti notti, baby wanted to keep daddy n mummy in suspense for awhile i guess. well..........daddy n mummy shall save up the money this month then.

My next appt will be on the 29th August. Can't wait as this time will be the detailed scan and its going to b 3D. Hope baby will cooperate this time and show us baby's gender and most important of all be healthy and normal.
