Travelling
Do you like to travel in a tour group, stay in posh hotels, have your itinery all planned by a professional or just bagpacked and roam around wherever you pleased?
For me I guess I belong to the forth. Isn't thats what touring all about? When you go travelling (other then on business), you are there to relax, enjoy the best parts of the country and not to go around thinking of where to go and get lost sometimes. Let those travel agencies do the job! We just sit back and relax.
Well I must agree that there are always pros and cons about it. Like we might not be able to stay longer in a place where we like or do as and what we pleased, but I guess at least we get to see more places in a way? I do tour free and easy as well, however that is for places where I am quite familiar about like Taipei and Hongkong which I have been on numerous shopping sprees. But if you were to ask me to go big countries like China, Europe or America I guess I will freak out on where to go and where to eat if there are no locals guiding me along. Actually I ever went to London once with just mi n my friend. She is there for some hair styling courses, and while she is bz with her class I would walk around Oxford Street and I guess thats about all I know about London. I believed if I were to go together with a tour group I will know much more about it and its history probably. What a waste huh?
I truly agree that I am not a very interesting or innovative person when it comes to planning for a trip. I would probably just grab any brochures on the country which I am interested in and just book and go. For me, when I go on a tour is because I am tired about my daily chores/work/life and hope to go somewhere to have a getaway. As long as its a country which I am interested I will let the professional do the job. Why further waste our brain cells when we could actually use a little money to get professional advise and nevertheless to say help the economy. kekekeke...................good excuse???
Tell me about you now, which do you prefer?
